A day hike along the base of the Eiger’s North Face, from Alpiglen to Grindelwald, with sweeping views across the Bernese Oberland.

The trail traces the mountain’s famous wall from below — waterfalls, alpine meadows, and the sound of rockfall in the distance. A guide sets the pace and points out the routes climbers have taken up the face since the 1930s.

Moderate grade: mostly gentle grades with one steady climb, suitable for hikers with some trail experience.
